Social Media Engagement Tool

Why use the Social Media Engagement Tool?

Becoming the hub of relevant and interesting information for your industry and audience is an important part of being a successful inbound marketer – it's how you build your traffic, blog subscribers, and inbound links, just to name a few things. HubSpot's new social media tool makes it easy for you find and share this valuable information with your networks, track what you've done, and help you set an activity goal for each week. Where do I find the Social Media Engagement Tool? Look under the 'Promote' tab in your HubSpot.

How do I use the Social Media Engagement Tool?

You should look at the new social media tool at least once a day to check for new relevant content out there on the web. Each of the items we show to you has been selected because contained within it at least one keyword you've identified as important – either by marking it as a "Favorite" in Keyword Grader, adding it through the Brand Wizard as a brand to watch, or through the "Manage Terms" function on the right-hand side of Social Media. As such, you have control over what kinds of content you ask HubSpot to go find. When you find an item highly relevant to your industry that you'd like to share with your audience, you've got a couple options.

  1. Tweet About It - You can retweet the item if it was originally a Tweet, or simple reply to the original Tweeter through HubSpot's Social Media application.
  2. Post it to Your Facebook Wall - You can post the article to your Facebook wall through the Social Media tool.
  3. Comment On It - You can also navigate to the article and comment on it directly.

Each of these actions counts as an interaction in the HubSpot Social Media tool and will help you establish yourself as a hub of authoritative industry information. The best way to build your reputation as a thought leader is to post useful items on a daily basis – that way, you're continually part of the conversation!
